Amanda Butterworth first joined Gibson Design Group in June 2005 as a design intern and stayed with GDG through her fourth year at the University of Virginia. After graduating in 2006 with a degree in architecture, Amanda moved to Washington, D.C. to work for a larger architecture firm, Lessard Group, LLC. Finding that she missed the atmosphere, personal connection, and satisfaction that a smaller firm can provide, Amanda teamed back up with Alexandra in September 2007 and now works as Senior Creative Director at OttoPilot Media.
Amanda is originally from Chesapeake, VA and was involved with Delta Gamma and Women's Club Volleyball while at U.Va., where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture with a minor in Architectural History. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball and softball, cooking and baking, as well as graphic and web design.
