We work with our clients on all aspects of their home -- from remodeling an existing home, to redecorating a room, to design services on new construction from the ground up. After many years in the business, we know that a wonderfully designed home that you can enjoy for years is most important, but the process and journey is often overlooked and can be just as important.
Our Process:
- We meet with you to understand what you are trying to achieve in your project. This first consultation is complimentary and is designed for us to get to know each other better. Having someone work with you on your home can be an intimate experience and we always want to ensure a good mutual fit!
- During this meeting, we’ll also discuss budget and advise on what is possible based on your desired budget.
- After understanding the scope of your project, we will put together a letter of agreement. Gibson Design Group always works on a flat fee based on the scope of your project. We have worked this way for the last 20 years and our clients are always very happy to know exactly what their financial outlay will be from the get go! You don’t have to worry about cringing every time you open your monthly bill regarding the number of hours!
- Once the paperwork housekeeping is out of the way, the fun can begin. Dependent upon your project, services in this part of the project will include:
- Plans and drawings (electrical, cabinetry, basic interior reconfiguration)
- Material selection (floorcoverings, cabinetry, paint colors, light fixtures, wallcoverings, etc.)
- Furniture layout and selection, including fabrics
- Window treatment (draperies, shutters, blinds) selection and design
- Accessory selection and placement (mirrors, lamps, etc.)
- In every case, we provide you with several options based on your style, functional needs, and budget. If something is not quite right, we go back to the drawing board and provide additional selections.
- Gibson Design Group is trusted by our clients for making sure your project runs smoothly. After more than 30 years in the industry, we are able to quickly identify fixes when obstacles in construction arise, determine ordering timelines to meet deadlines, and visit your project regularly to answer questions from subcontractors and ensure everything is going as planned.
- For furnishings, we schedule and oversee receiving and delivery for all furniture and accessories, helping with placement, and ensure that everything is left up to your (and our!) standards.
